Gemma Mir trained as a biologist before walking away from the lab in 2020 to rescue her family's tiny plot in Falset, in southern Priorat. Les Agulles "the needles" is a tribute to her grandmother Mariona, the village seamstress. The fruit comes from the Les Pinyanes estate: 45 year old organically farmed Garnatxa vines on granitic soils threaded with clay and slate.
